Mercy Haven’s Spring Clean Up – 2017

Join the Endoscopy Center of Long Island staff in participating in Mercy Haven’s Spring Clean Up in 2017, May 13! Mercy Haven will prepare all sites with the necessary tools and supplies for the project. Mercy Haven will also provide refreshments for the day, usually water bottles, donuts, and fruit. Please dress for the weather and project.

Project Details: Mercy Haven, 104 Second Avenue. Brentwood, NY 11717.

Mercy Haven’s Growing Together Community Garden contains 16 raised garden beds that are supported by members of the community, staff, and local organizations such as the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, High Schools, and other non-profits. After a long winter, the beds need to be cleaned and prepared for the upcoming growing season.

The project for the day will include weeding, cleaning, and adding fresh compost and nutrients to each bed.

The project should last from 10AM to 3PM and breakfast, lunch, and shirts will be provided for all.
